You can now bring custom emojis to your Fellow workspace. You can do so by importing them from Slack or by uploading a file in your workspace settings.

Came here to add this exact same comment. I regularly want to react with emoji's that my team uses in Slack and I get bummed when I come up empty handed in search results because I can never remember which are custom and which are native options.
