Currently when you merge two steams if one is starred this breaks and a blank stream is left starred. To fix this you have to unstar and restar the streams.

Hi Marley,
The issue you've identified should be addressed as part of our Merging Streams work. I'm going to merge this into that post.
We're planning to release the updates this week, so stay tuned!
